Jester Summer Jam

In 2013 I had my first, what I call, FUNyard Sale, to raise money for my goal of an all-inclusive playground to be built in Grimes similar to the park Ankeny, IA is building next to their Miracle League and the park being built in memory of Ashley Okland located in Ewing Park, on the southeast side of Des Moines, IA. Grimes, IA has several great parks, just none of them have those with different abilities in mind. Grimes Community Center has just added a wheelchair accessible swing to their park though! Great first step. Grimes is the home of Special Olympics. We have an awesome community. My goal is to add more greatness to our already great community by fundraising in hopes that some day in the near future, we find the perfect location for a beautiful all-inclusive playground. A playground for EVERYONE young and old. A playground that is accessible for ALL. 

The fundraising goal is $500,000 for this park. Though we have not yet secured a location, I know in my heart this will happen...it is the right thing for our community.
